What is Cosamin?
Cosamin is apparently a pharmaceutical grade chondroitin sulfate product with glucosamine that is easy to swallow and will protect you from or reduce joint pain. It is apparently the #1 recommended product by orthopedic surgeons and rheumatologists and can help you to get the results you want at an affordable price.
History of Cosamin
Cosamin is made by the same people who make Avoca ASU. It is sold through multiple third party retailers, and as far as being "pharmaceutical grade", it's their way of saying their ingredients are supposed to be of a higher quality than others, not that they actually use prescription or controlled substances, though that's what many would be inclined to think.
Benefits
Cosamin has glucosamine and chondroitin as well. But unlike they would have you thinking, they use less than half of what would be required in each ingredient to supposedly get the job done. Their formula is completely insufficient, and though they have two ingredients outside that, they are completely useless in terms of the relief of joint pain in any amount.
Possible side effects
There are no side effects commonly associated with Cosamin.
Conclusion
Cosamin would not be the product to use. It doesn't have the right amounts of the right ingredients, and half its formula is completely useless in terms of the ingredients alone. The other just has only the smallest amounts. This product is definitely not of a greater quality, or else they would at least use patented ingredients, which are better. We would recommend staying away from it.
