• Moderate to severe juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA)
• Ankylosing spondylitis (AS)

The relief of arthritic symptoms including joint swelling and pain as well as increased mobility, energy and joint stability. Additionally, patients suffering from Psoriasis can expect clearer skin by the three month mark and users sometimes experience skin clearing up until the six month mark.

Additionally, those with JIA and AS will have reduced back pain and morning stiffness as well as an increased ability to perform day to day tasks.

Side-Effects

Unfortunately, as with many prescription drugs there are some potential side-effects that may occur while taking Enbrel. The most commonly experienced side-effects are pain, redness, swelling, itching or bruising around the injection site, upper respiratory infections and headaches.

Also, much less common, but more serious side-effects that you should be aware of include the following:

• Risk of Infection
• Risk of Cancer – Especially in users who start taking this drug before the age of 18.
• Hepatitis B Infection (If you are a carrier of the disease)

• Psoriasis
• Allergic Reactions
• Auto-Immune Reactions (Including Lupus-like symptoms and Auto-immune Hepatitis)
